Business context

Agro-Perfect is a Polish agricultural advisory company that helps farms increase productivity through soil testing and an individual approach to each field. Faced with growing market expectations, the company decided to transfer its know-how into a single, easily accessible digital channel in order to scale support for farmers faster and more broadly.

In 2015, the goal became to create a platform that would consolidate reliable knowledge, facilitate dialogue with farmers, and enable ongoing research into user needs. The chosen solution was a desktop application available on Windows and macOS, in order to reach a wide audience in Poland and abroad.

Agro-Perfect engaged Leaware to design and build a product that would genuinely bring technology closer to agricultural practice and become the foundation for expanding its advisory services into international markets.


Challenge

The greatest challenge was combining key functions within a single product: an extensive knowledge base, surveys for collecting feedback, social interaction mechanisms, a promotional offers section, and a gallery for visual learning. Everything had to form a coherent ecosystem in which content would be easy to search and users could move smoothly between modules.

The product had to be intuitive for people with varying levels of digital competence, available on Windows and macOS, and built on a modern technology stack. It was also important to ensure simple content management, reliable analytical data on user activity, and readiness to scale quickly alongside a growing community.


Solution

Leaware built Farmer World using ASP.NET MVC as a multifunctional desktop platform available on Windows and macOS. The modular architecture and consistent interface simplify access to the most important features, while the UX design was focused on clarity and minimising the number of steps required to complete key tasks.

The platform serves as a single access point for farmers: it offers a rich knowledge base to support agronomic decision-making, surveys for gathering insights, community features that encourage the exchange of experience, personalised offers with measurable economic benefits, and a gallery of visual materials that make it easier to learn agricultural practices.

The work was carried out iteratively, with close involvement from users and the client, which made it possible to validate hypotheses quickly and refine key scenarios. Product analytics were implemented to measure adoption and engagement, while easy content management and scalability were ensured to prepare the platform for expansion into international markets.
