Business context

Crowdbeamer is a Belgian company that simplifies the way presentations are delivered through a wireless real-time screen content sharing system, regardless of where participants are located.

With the rise of remote work and flexible offices, a clear market gap emerged: there was a need for a mobile, easy-to-use solution that ensured excellent visibility of materials, strong security, and no requirement for costly meeting room upgrades.

To bring this vision to life, Crowdbeamer engaged Leaware to develop an application that would instantly deliver presentation content to a wide range of devices and platforms, strengthening the product’s value and deployment scalability.

Challenge

The key challenge was to deliver screen content in real time to any mobile device while maintaining excellent readability and stable performance on Android and iOS. Streaming had to work without delays or quality drops, even with a larger number of viewers in the same space.

Security was equally important: the application could not require guests to be granted access to the corporate network. In addition, the project had to be delivered in a cost-effective way to reduce adoption barriers and simplify use across diverse, often unconventional locations.

Solution

Leaware built the Crowdbeamer application using Xamarin, achieving a native experience on Android and iOS with a single codebase. This reduced delivery time and lowered maintenance costs, while ensuring a consistent, intuitive interface for presenters and participants.

The application reliably shares presentation content in real time with all nearby devices. The solution works with Crowdbeamer’s wireless infrastructure, which means it does not require access to the corporate network. The built-in battery and Wi‑Fi enable meetings to be held in unconventional locations, without the need to invest in room infrastructure.

High image quality, low latency, and stable performance were ensured. Transmission security and ease of use were prioritised so that participants could join presentations instantly without any additional configuration.
